First-year Application Steps
- View our application deadlines
- For first-year students, submit your application and pay the $45 (USD) application fee.
- Submit your High School Transcript. If your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is necessary.
- Submit standardized language test score - a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, Pearson Test of English (PTE) minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 110 for traditional admissions. International students must submit standardized test scores unless they are exempt (View Language Policy).
* If you don't meet the English required scores please see Conditional Admissions - For Performing or Creative Arts Majors (art, music, theater, and dance): an audition or portfolio review
- You can upload the required documents to your application portal once you submit your application. Your application portal will always have the most up-to-date status of your application. To check the status of your application, simply log in to your portal.
- Pay $100 (USD) Enrollment Deposit *There are no waivers available.
- In order for us to be able to issue your I-20, you must first activate your Rowan NetID and enroll in Duo. You should be able to activate your Rowan NetID 48 hours after you pay your admissions deposit. If you have any problems after 48 hours have passed since paying the deposit, please contact Technical Support at support@rowan.edu or 856-256-4400.
- Check your Rowan University email. Approximately 1-2 business days after enrolling in Duo, you will receive a link in your Rowan University email inbox inviting you to log into Terra Dotta, the international student portal.
- Log in to Terra Dotta using your Rowan NetID credentials. When you log in, you will be able to view instructions on how to complete the I-20 application in the Terra Dotta portal.
