Rowan Start
What is Rowan Start?
Rowan Start is a high school engagement initiative that allows students to earn college credit while in high school. This program can better prepare students for college admission and future academic study.
Rowan Start
Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment
- Dual Credit programs are distinct from dual enrollment; they allow high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit for approved courses they are already taking at their high school, as instructed by their high school faculty.
- Dual Enrollment programs enable students to take courses concurrently at two separate institutions: typically, dual enrollment participants are high school students who enroll at a partner college or university and take approved undergraduate courses, taught by university faculty/adjuncts/HS teachers hired as adjuncts, either online, in-person at RU, or in person at high school.
- The credits earned may be transferrable to other 4-year institutions.
- Courses are offered at a discounted rate, contact Shameka Humphries for more information.
- Students will select a 100 or 200 level course.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (on 4.0 scale)
- Must be eleventh or twelfth grade
- Additional requirements may be necessary. Contact dualcredit@rowan.edu.
- Browse Section Tally to select course offerings.
- Complete the Activation Form. Students must complete the activation form to ensure proper billing at the discounted rate.
- Once the activation form is completed, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to activate your Rowan account.
