The Pre-Medical and Health Profession Journey

For those students interested in a medical degree or in becoming a professional in the health field, Rowan University is one of a small handful of Universities in the nation to provide both an M.D. program through Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and a D.O program through Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. The affiliations with these teaching hospitals provide countless opportunities for students who are looking to pursue medicine as a career as well as promote the exposure to an array of various health professions.

The Pre-Med Path

Working your way to a medical degree as a pre-med student may seem daunting but the required course work can actually be attained regardless of undergraduate degree. Granted, many students pursuing a future in medicine tend to matriculate into biology, chemistry, or other sciences programs which incorporate Pre-Med courses however, the option to choose any undergraduate program is entirely yours. 

With this in mind and with the various articulation agreements between Rowan University and one of it's multiple medical schools, the Pre-Med program at Rowan offers a substantial advantage for the possibility of future medical school enrollment.
